Founded by filmmaker Brian J Davis and novelist Emily Schultz, Heroic Collective Studios pushes the boundaries of storytelling with immersive podcasts, and radical takes on film, series, and promotional content.

 Co-founder Brian Joseph Davis is a filmmaker and digital artist living in Brooklyn. His social platform and online projects have included viral hits The Composites, Voice Over, The Consumed Guide. His work has been collected in Richard Prince: American Prayer, and Always Apprentices: The Believer Presents 22 Conversations Between Writers and has also appeared in The Guardian, The New Yorker, People Magazine and The Believer. For several years he helped run the Blocks Recording Club, releasing albums from Final Fantasy, Fucked Up, Nadja, and Katie Stelmanis (Austra).  He's directed music videos for Nadja, DTCV, and Castle. He is the co-writer and producer of The Blondes podcast, starring Madeline Zima (Twin Peaks), Helen Hong (Inside Llewyn Davis), and Rob Belushi (How I Met Your Mother)

Co-founder Emily Schultz is the author of the international bestseller, The Blondes, which was named a Best Book of 2015 by NPR and Kirkus. 

Her writing has appeared in Elle, Bustle, Vice, and elsewhere. Stephen King said, "Emily Schultz is my new hero." Schultz lives in Brooklyn and her newest novel, Little Threats, was an Apple Books Pick of 2020.
